Amaravati: AP Finance Minister P. Ayodhya Keshav presented the 2025-26 annual budget in the Assembly. With a budget of ₹3.22 lakh crore, it was brought before the House. This is the first full-fledged budget after the coalition government came into power. After presenting the budget, P. Ayodhya stated that the state’s loan capacity has reached zero, and Andhra Pradesh remains the only state with no borrowing power. However, he mentioned that the budget was designed with the inspiration of CM Chandrababu.

He mentioned that between 2014-19, the state achieved double-digit growth. In facing challenges, Chandrababu is his own equal, he said. Due to the state bifurcation, Andhra Pradesh lost its capital but made Amaravati its people’s capital. He stated that major works in Amaravati will be undertaken in line with the aspirations of the people. He emphasized that Amaravati is as important to us as Mumbai is to Maharashtra and Hyderabad is to Telangana. P. Ayodhya revealed that with the cooperation of Prime Minister Modi, Amaravati will be developed to match the stature of Mumbai and Hyderabad. For more updates, visit Vaartha.
